Sweet Bee Coffee Co. is a small business with a big passion for people and coffee in that order.

Brandy has been working with coffee since 2012, and has always loved the customers and environment. When her family relocated to Elyria she saw a need for a place for the community to gather. When the opportunity arose to open a coffee shop, she jumped on it and Sweet Bee Coffee Co. was born.

Why the name Sweet Bee? The name has always been part of Brandy’s identity. Being half Korean, her Korean name is Dahn Bee which fully translated means Sweet (Dahn) Rain (Bee) - half translated turns into Sweet Bee.

“Sweet Bee Coffee Co. is located in Elyria, Ohio and was created to be a family business, with an emphasis on family. If you stop in almost any day of the week you'll see me (Brandy) making coffee, occasionally my husband (Nick) ringing people up, and our daughter Evelyn acting as the barista in training/official greeter. Nothing means more to us than our little family and the big coffee family we've created with everyone that walks through our doors.

More than anything our goal was to create an inclusive space for anyone and everyone to relax, and be comfortable being their most authentic self while sharing a cup of coffee with their loved ones. If you feel like you just walked into a friend's house when you walk through our doors, that is mission accomplished for us.
